Collaborative Work-In-Progress Presentation

Collaborative Work-In-Progress Presentation (Hurdle Requirement)

This task is designed to allow each group to present their progress up to and including week 11.

- Max. 20 minutes each group

This gives us the opportunity to:
  • Provide the definitive version of our research brief and clarify the key problem and how it has been addressed
  • Present key components of the research that work toward answering/addressing the substantive questions outlined in the research brief
  • Present details of our progress towards the final product outcome
  • Identify any gaps in the research, final product and presentation
  • Develop a template for the final presentation to the course cohort based on equality of contribution, the clarity of presentation and the interest it sustains
  • Indicate successes and/or problems in the collaborative process
  • Receive feedback from the seminar

Presenting complex information in a short amount of time take planning and organization. It would be most beneficial to have most of the work done for the project and just use this as a dry run for the final presentation scheduled to take place in Week 13.
This way we can simply just use the remining couple weeks to iron out any presentation style issues, fill any gaps in knowledge and understanding, and gauge our ability to clearly communicate what we have been doing all semester.

Things to consider in the upcoming Assessment Matrix:

  • The Brief
  • Content
  • Content gaps identified
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Sustaining interest
  • Equality of presentation
  • Awareness of presentation needs
  • Collaborative process
